Emirati Women’s Day 2023: Collaborating for a Sustainable Future

 

Emirati Women’s Day is celebrated annually on August 28th to acknowledge the significant role played by Emirati women in shaping the country’s progress and prosperity. This year’s theme, “We Collaborate for Tomorrow,” was decided by the Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU) and the Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak.

The theme was chosen in accordance with the UAE President’s announcement of 2023 as the “year of sustainability.” It reflects the importance of collaboration and collective efforts towards building a sustainable future for the country. The theme highlights the need for women to come together and work towards a common goal of creating a better tomorrow for the generations to come.

The UAE is known for its commitment to gender equality and women’s empowerment. Every year, the theme for Emirati Women’s Day is set in line with the set of objectives that aligns with the country’s strategy that recognizes and empowers the crucial role of women in the country.
