UAE and Malta Sign Agreements to Boost Cooperation

 



The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Malta have signed a number of agreements to boost cooperation in maritime, youth, culture, and sports. The agreements were signed by Foreign Affairs Minister Ian Borg during a bilateral meeting with the UAE’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The agreements cover a wide range of areas, including:

  • Maritime cooperation: The two countries will cooperate on maritime security, search and rescue, and port development.
  • Youth cooperation: The two countries will cooperate on youth exchanges, education, and training.
  • Cultural cooperation: The two countries will cooperate on cultural exchanges, exhibitions, and festivals.
  • Sports cooperation: The two countries will cooperate on sports development, training, and competitions.

Minister Borg said that the agreements are a testament to the strong relations between the two countries. He said that the UAE and Malta are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two nations, and that the agreements will help to further strengthen these relations.
