UAE and New Zealand Eye Lucrative Trade Deal
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and New Zealand have expressed their interest in signing a bilateral trade agreement that would boost trade between the two countries. The UAE is a major player in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region and has a diversified economy, while New Zealand is an important agricultural exporter with a strong focus on sustainability.
The potential for cooperation between the UAE and New Zealand is immense. The UAE could export its oil and gas products to New Zealand, while New Zealand could export its agricultural products to the UAE. The two countries could also cooperate in the fields of tourism, education, and healthcare.
The UAE’s Minister of State for International Cooperation, Reem Al Hashimy, recently visited New Zealand to discuss the possibility of a trade agreement. Al Hashimy said that the UAE was “keen to explore ways to enhance our trade relationship with New Zealand.”
The New Zealand Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nanaia Mahuta, said that she was “very pleased to discuss the potential for a free trade agreement between our two countries.” Mahuta said that the two countries had “a strong relationship” and that she was “confident that we can reach an agreement that is in the interests of both countries.”
A trade agreement between the UAE and New Zealand would be mutually beneficial for both countries. It would boost trade, create jobs, and promote economic growth. It would also help to strengthen the relationship between the two countries.
